Wow - another amazing day for Room 5! We headed to the beach first thing this morning and spent a wonderful day in the sun. We worked together to make our golf balls run the fastest and create sand sculptures.
Check us out working together...

We also had a race to the finish with boys and girls!

ADVENTURE WEEK
DAY 1
We were so busy having fun on Monday we didn't get any photos... but we had a wonderful time being information detectives at the museum. Our co-operative groups worked so well together our helpers almost ran out of gotchas :-)
Thank you: Sarah and Jury
Thanks to Room 1 for letting us join them!
DAY 2
The rain stopped us from going to the beach but did not stop us from having fun :-)!
This morning Room 5 shared the fantastic conversations they had with their parents/grand parents/whanau about what it was like when they grew up... Ms O Donnell was so impressed we all moved up on our behaviour board. We found out all kinds of interesting information about the games they just to play, how the got to school, the clothes they wore and the technology they had.
We had fun looking up old pictures of radios, type writers (which some found very amusing!), phones, t.v.s, cars and clothes. We used all this information to work in our co-operative groups to plan our totem poles and shared the stories our totem poles are going to tell - Tu meke Room 5... your totem poles are going to be amazing.
After morning tea we made the most of the dry spell and played a super game of rounders - everyone was positive, followed the rules, encouraged each other and worked together as a team... With such great teamwork on both sides it was a close a game! (Outstanding teamwork Room 5!)
This was all followed by our shared lunch which Room 5 enjoyed at their tables... more amazing qualities to be seen in Room 5 as we kindly shared the food around our tables.
We made some cool diamonds in art after lunch...
And it's only Tuesday...Looking forward to lots more fun and more excellent teamwork this week. :-)
Thank You - Nikola and Renee, Ben Aperahama (for our hot chips) and Aaron (for lots of card+paper) :-)
